CAMBRIDGE, MD – Congressman Andy Harris visited Cambridge International, based in Cambridge, MD, on February 3rd. During Congressman Harris’ visit he learned about the new Emissions Control and Gasification technologies that were launched in late 2010 by Cambridge Environmental Technologies, a division of Cambridge International. He viewed a presentation about the technologies and participated in a lively discussion about the potential applications on the Eastern Shore and throughout Maryland. Congressman Harris also toured the manufacturing facility and met a variety of the team members.
These technologies are of particular interest to the Congressman due to their positive impact on the environment and the anticipated increase in manufacturing business for Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Various jobs were created in 2010 as a result of the launch of these technologies and as they are utilized, the job creation will be substantial for a Maryland HUBZone, as designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Cambridge International enjoyed hosting the Congressman and believes that the time will be beneficial to the adoption of these new technologies within the state of Maryland and beyond.
