Governor Martin O’Malley visited Cambridge International, Inc. to extend a centennial proclamation in honor of the company’s 100-Year Anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 8th. Cambridge International has been a manufacturer based on Maryland’s Eastern Shore for the past 100 years.
On September 8, 2011, the Governor of Maryland arrived at Cambridge at 10:00 a.m. and toured the metal belt and wire cloth manufacturing facilities. Afterwards, the Governor rendered his proclamation in a speech to the Cambridge International team.
“Creating jobs through innovation in both new and traditional industries is our priority, especially on the Eastern Shore,” said Governor O’Malley. “Working together with our local partners, Cambridge International has expanded its manufacturing operations, adopted green energy and innovative technologies to preserve and protect our resources, and created new jobs for our people. We applaud their 100-year commitment to grow and thrive in Maryland.”
