Engineering solutions has been the foundation of Cambridge International’s success over the past century. As we celebrate the momentous occasion of our 100th Anniversary, we pause to reflect on the history and growth of the company over the years.
In 1911, the Estey Wire Works Company moved their weaving division to Cambridge, MD, where it began operating under the name of the Cambridge Wire Cloth Company. By 1915, Cambridge Wire Cloth had purchased all assets and holdings, incorporating into the business we know today as Cambridge International.
Since those humble beginnings, Cambridge International has helped revolutionize processing and automation for industries worldwide. Cambridge remains the world’s leading engineering and manufacturing company for wire mesh and woven metal belting. We partner with our customers to provide best possible solutions to increase their productivity and profitability.
To reflect this unique platform and our distinctive customer-focused mission, Cambridge has renamed its metal conveyor belting and wire cloth operations Cambridge Engineered Solutions, a division of Cambridge International, Inc.
Moreover, Cambridge International has also successfully launched two new divisions – Cambridge Architectural and Cambridge Environmental Technologies. Our engineering expertise has made Cambridge a recognized pioneer in metal conveyor belting, wire cloth, woven architectural mesh for the built environment, and clean energy and air systems, utilizing our 100 years of technological innovations.
